e apostle Paul, prior to his
apostolic ministry bore the Jewish name Saul.
He was a very active participant in the
persecution of Christians. On the road
to Damascus, Saul saw a wonderful
light, in the vision, the Lord revealed
himself to him as the Person whom
he persecutes, and this completely
changed his life. Paul began to
zealously preach the faith that he had
previously persecuted. He founded
churches, performed miracles, received
many revelations and visions of Jesus Christ.

them to preach the Gospel throughout the world. In 62 - 63 AD in Rome, the Apostle
Luke wrote the Gospel, therefore he is regarded by the Church as an apostle and
evangelist - the author of the canonical Gospel. The apostle Luke joined the second

missionary journey of the apostle Paul. After the martyrdom of Paul, Luke left Rome
and preached the sermon in Achaea, Libya, Egypt and Thebes. At the age of 85, he
was crucified in the city of Thebes on an olive tree.
